I'm Amy Rose Scoggins, a theater maker from Boston, MA and a recent graduate of Point Park University.
I have hands-on experience in directing, playwriting, and stage management in a variety of environments from student run to professional theater companies. I often find myself in directing roles, but I'm eager and open to contribute to theatrical adventures in a number of ways. I'm slowly working towards my long term goal of owning a cafe bar which is also a community and performance space.
I believe in and approach theater making from a process over product perspective. I believe in collaboration and community building. I believe in blurring the line between audience and performance. I don't believe that theater can change the world, but that it fosters dialogue, understanding, and first steps towards real change.
When I'm not in the rehearsal room, I'm likely rock climbing, reading, enjoying nature, or visiting a coffee shop.
